Shivling

The Hindu deity Shiva is represented by the lingam (also known as linga, ling, Shiva linga, or Shiv ling), which is used in temples for devotion. The linga is instead regarded as a representation of the God's might and potential in traditional Indian culture. The Shivling is always represented with Yoni, which is a symbol of Shakti(female energy). Both represent the joining of Purusha and Prakriti. Bramha Pitha, or the circular base, is the lowest of its three components; Vishnu Pitha, or the bowl-like structure, is in the middle; and Shiva Pitha, or the rounded oval head, is at the top.

For general cleaning use a sponge dipped in mild detergent solution.
